random saturday stuff....

hi! i wanted to share this layout that i did (a "just for fun" layout..yay!) a few weeks ago... Makes me smile because this is my favorite photo with my mom from when I was a baby. I want to get more into scrapping old photos this year. So many cool ones... so much history.

oh.. and here is my "photos-that-need-to-be-scrapped" box... it is one of those big cropper hopper boxes (pretty sure it holds 2000) and you can see how it is totally full and overflowing... the funny thing is that this isn't all my photos, this is only the recent ones! Like last 2 years... eeeek! but I am just ambitious (or maybe pshycotic) enough to believe that there is some chance I can actually scrapbook most of these photos... but like TJ was saying, I HAVE to learn to put more photos on a page if that is gonna happen (not that I wont still do some one photo layouts too...haha) so I have been experimenting and sketching out ideas for more photos (but still doing it with my own vibe). Fun challenge! :)

Ok.. I have had a TON of e-mails and comments about how to use these photo frames... honestly, digi scrapping is *nooooot* my thing and I know very very little about it... but I do know that in all Rhonna's frames she includes a tutorial! So that is cool! hope that helps!

a few random thoughts for this saturday afternoon...

*SO glad i am not at the mall today.. haha!
*3 days until the new Gwen Stefani release :)
*need to figure out what I am getting (or making) our grandmas for christmas.
*Trying to think of something special to surprise T.J. with for our 5th anniversary in a few weeks...

Baby, It's Cold Outside...

so we had our first big snow around here... cocoa is pretty excited about it and wants to play in it all the time..so CUTE! Tj took this rad photo of me (he is all about the crazy cropping and i LOOOVE it) it reminds me of this photo of my mom from the 70s.. trying to find that...

so i am just chillin at home working on my line (getting so close to being done with the winter release! i am so excited! can't wait for CHA in January (plus it will be fun to go somewhere sunny and warm for a couple days..lol!) Also I have been scrapbooking a little bit in between and drinking some orange spice tea. Nice. Cozy. Working from home is freaking cool.

Ok... several people were asking about the song from the trailer I shared yesterday.. it is "When Morning Comes" by: Jeremy Larson. He is from Springfield (see! I knew there was more talent in good ole Springfield than just Brad Pitt! :) Next time he does a show I am soooo there. Cool stuff. I get so freaking excited finding

look here to see the trailer for "my boss is an idiot" (the rad indie film my little sister and brother are in). wow. i am seriously emotional seeing this. i am so thankful for the inspiring people in my life who are truly living their dreams... maybe that sounds cheesy, but i'm serious. people who take risks in life and work hard to do something they are passionate about are my heros...and my sister, Emma, is for sure one of those people.

a blast from the past!

my friend, Christie, sent me an e-mail tonight with a ton of notes I wrote her in high school. This one is cracking me up! :) Love you, Christie! Can't wait till TJ 

for all my local friends...

my sister Emma is starring in a film, My Boss is an Idiot, at the Moxie in December! :) You can see the schedule here :) So excited for her! TJ and I are always big fans of Nate and Brandon's films! Can't wait!

ps... haha.. actually now that i think of it... our little brothers Kyle and Doren also have parts in the film... and I think TJ was an extra one day.. :) ha! I will post the trailer on here sometime soon...

some holiday lovin'

here are a few layouts I did for the KI gallery. :) I think I am going to start a new 8.5x11 themed album for random holiday memories.. just fun stuff like this.. i love the concept of having albums that you pull out during certain seasons of the year! makes it fun! :)

random, fun and very uncool...

i guess you could say that T and I are pretty skilled at finding nerdy/fun ways to entertain ourselves. we took a bunch of silly photos last night in the car while we were out christmas shopping (almost done!!! yessssss!) i love these pics becuase they show a lot of personality and i feel sometimes like i have way too many perfect looking photos.. i want my kids to look at our scrapbooks and see that we were just normal people. i never want them to think we were shiny and pretty every day..haha.. so these will be some fun to scrap.

i am really inspired to scrapbook lately... lots of ideas in the brain... wanting to do some mini books with song lyrics and movie quotes and some kind of project with poloroid photos and some kind of really really HUGE book :)
